Ultramarathons and Mountaineering
Through my young adult life I have developed a passion for running. This has seen me:
Run over many of New Zealand's mountain ranges and peaks alone and with others. This country is spectacular.
Run a hundred mile race in a princess dress for charity, with 8000+m elevation change. This one took me 33 hours
Run my first hundred kilometre trail race barefoot at 21, as well as two other 100k races with minimal footwear. My fastest 100km time was just under 11 hours in blistering heat.
I am more of a casual runner now, heading to the mountains every couple of weeks or playing about in my home - the port hills above Ōtautahi.
